We are looking for a hard-working, team-oriented, good-natured individual with a strong sense of urgency, mechanical aptitude, and knowledge of the proper use of tools and machinery. Duties will include driving a forklift during operations, quality assurance of bottled beer (watch for low fills, low FOB's, no caps, or leaking caps), quality assurance of packaged cases (fully sealed, no leaking, dated), troubleshooting machinery if it goes off-line, and keeping packaging area safe and efficient by ensuring broken bottles are removed and machinery is working properly. This physical position also requires a fair amount of sanitation so be ready to clean. This is a 2nd shift position, but you must be able to work any shift to meet production demands. You must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. You also must have previous experience working in either warehouse, production, or brewing environments.

You will be Stone Brewing Co.'s subject matter expert on beer industry trends and activity and will share relevant talking points with internal and external partners. Your mission (should you choose to accept) is to develop public relations programs designed to drive increased consumer awareness and a positive public image for Stone Brewing Co.

You will focus on communication with broad reaching non-endemic media channel contacts, keeping the public, media, and Team Stone informed by performing the following duties: Leverage existing and develop new media relationships to focus PR efforts on securing media coverage in high circulation non-endemic publications, websites and TV programming. Develop and maintain database of media contacts and recommend or select contacts to inform for specific press opportunities. Compose content for press releases/pitches and participate in the development and execution of strategic PR plans and tactics. Work with Stone communications staff to build and manage calendar of press-worthy Stone Brewing events and activities, and formulate specific communications strategies and tactical plans in collaboration with media team and management. Accept media inquiries and relay through the appropriate communication channels as well as keep track of all media appearances and coverage.

To be considered for this position you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be familiar with the press release and proofing processes. Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Must be able to write reports, press releases, business correspondence, and procedure manuals and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. We need someone who has the aptitude and enthusiasm to learn the company philosophy, history and facts are critical. This person must have a four year college or university program certificate in communications, journalism or marketing with at least 3 years of professional public relations experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of media relationships and online/traditional research methods (or the aptitude to learn) is necessary.

We are seeking a stellar Industrial Electrician to add to our staff. This person would be responsible for installing and supporting brewery power and control systems. This individual would also be responsible for improving, calibrating, troubleshooting and maintaining brewery power and control systems equipment and instrumentation. Other duties include: Maintain electrical schematics. Work with project team to build new control panels, run conduit, wire new devices and startup new equipment. Plan layout of new wiring and equipment. Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for project materials and services. Test new and existing power and control systems to ensure safe and correct operation. Observe equipment in operation to prevent/diagnose potential problems and make recommendations. Inspect power and control systems to identify hazards, defects, problems and code compliance and develop and maintain maintenance logs.

This individual must be eager to learn, motivated and organized and must be able to work effectively in a team environment through solid interpersonal and communication skills. Must be willing to accept a variety of assignments and work varying shifts (days, afternoons, midnights, weekends). We are looking for someone who has a High school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least 5 years of related experience and/or training.  Must have strong working knowledge of industrial power and control systems. Completion of a trade school program or apprenticeship in the electrical field preferred. This person must be able to wire, program and troubleshoot PLCs as well as wire and configure VFDs.  Must be able to install, repair and troubleshoot mechanical systems, lighting, valves, sensors, motors, starters, breakers, switchgear, chillers, boilers, pumps, and blowers. Familiarity with Hitachi, Idec, Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs and VFDs, Modbus and Profibus DP control networks preferred.

We are looking for an exceptional Banquet Supervisor to coordinate and supervise the execution of all banquet functions held at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens as outlined in banquet event order (BEO) and Event Manager’s specifications. We want someone that will embrace and foster our food philosophy, culture, and high service standards.

Duties include:

* Assisting management in hiring and training of service staff; establish and teach standards of performance, identify training opportunities, and create a strategy to accomplish goals.

* Preparing schedules to ensure a sufficient number and appropriate skill level of staff. Ensure an event captain is assigned for each event.

* Preparing and reviewing payroll reports in a timely matter for analysis in maintaining appropriate labor expenses, budget guidelines, and state law adherence.

* Performing monthly inventory audits of event small-wares, linens, décor, and equipment.

* Executing banquet events according to Banquet Event Order by overseeing service staff, confirming staff arrives in proper uniform, create duty assignments, and communicate floor plans.

* Regularly reviewing upcoming BEO’s with Event Coordinators and Events Manager and have thorough understanding of all requirements for upcoming scheduled events. Provide event servers/bussers with a copy of BEO upon their arrival and review with staff prior to every event to gain a thorough understanding of event specifications prior to the event.

* Providing clear and concise communications to everyone having ownership in the success of the event.

* Inspecting event room prior to the start of each event ensuring room setup, menu, service staff, etc., conforms to the BEO and Event Coordinator’s expectations.

* Greeting the client upon their arrival prior to the start of each event and be present throughout the event to assist where needed. Periodically check with customer to ensure satisfaction and respond to any requests.

* Troubleshooting operational problems and provide solutions as needed.

* Preparing a complete an accurate bill to the customer at the completion of the event and collect final payment. If another payment arrangement has been made, have the terms noted on the bill.

* Directing and supervising breakdown and cleanup after the event. Account for all equipment and supplies. Return items to storage areas and/or arrange for return of rented materials.

* Understanding and complying with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the restaurant, team members, and guests.

* Attending regularly scheduled weekly BEO and Event Department meetings.

* Conducting post-event analysis and evaluation; produce Event Recap reports for event stakeholders and management.

* Adhering to Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens high service standards.

To perform this job successfully you must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel, and guests; be organized, self-motivated, and self-directed; be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours); and be able to reach, bend, stoop, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a management or supervisory position with relevant restaurant/hotel experience required. Must possess knowledge of service, food, and beverage industry generally involving at least 3 years of front-of-the-house restaurant experience and/or banquet/event experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with POS systems (specifically Aloha), and Open Table desirable. Must have a valid California Driver’s License and auto insurance in good standing and a current San Diego County Food Handler’s Card. CMP highly desirable.

We continue to experience tremendous growth with our distribution arm of the business and have expanded our digs with a satellite distribution center in Carson, CA.

Qualifications:

Warehouse Crew Member - Escondido Facility

PM Shift

We have an opening for a Warehouse Team Member to work the night shift at our Escondido Distribution Center.  This is a full-time position with set work hours of 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM Sunday through Thursday with possible overtime.  Shift differential will be paid when working the evening shift.

Duties include building and palletizing loads for local distribution, loading and unloading trucks, counting inventory, warehouse cleanliness, and organization. Must be able to operate a forklift, calculate basic math operations, and maintain routine paperwork.  Must have valid driver's license and a clean MVR.  Heavy lifting will be required.

Stone Brewing Co. is looking to add to its talented staff to assist in the operation of brewing and cellar equipment efficiently, accurately, and safely to produce quality beer according to our operating procedures and parameters. Must be able to work any shift in a 24-hour schedule.

Assistant Brewer: 3-6 months related experience and/or training.  This is an entry level position with potential for advancement to the right individual. The main responsibilities for this position include A LOT of cleaning, shoveling spent grain in the hot sun (on occasion), cleaning the spent grain and yeast area daily, setting up and then cleaning up taste panel, assisting with cask filling and packaging, scrubbing drains, running the floor cleaner, and pretty much anything and everything else that our brewers need assistance with. If you do a great job cleaning, you may be asked to assist with some Brewhouse operations (milling, mashing, boiling, etc), cellar-related operations (cell counting, yeast disposal, etc), packaging operations (keg cleaning and filling, carbonation, etc), and quality assurance operations (cell counts, pitch rates, test panel, etc). Must be able to accurately and legibly record daily record information, have excellent cleaning and organizing standards, and be efficient in the processing of all operations. A formal brewing education and/or work experience relative to the position is highly desirable.

Duties for Brewer and Senior Brewer include but are not limited to: Brewhouse operations: Milling, Mashing, Lautering, Boiling, Whirlpooling, Knockout, Grains out(with yeast), Brewhouse Vessel CIP (including Heat Exchanger and Hot Liquor Heat Exchanger) Cellar-Related operations: Centrifuge /Filter operation, Fermenter CIP/Scrub/Sanitation , Cell Counting, Checking Gravities/Monitoring fermentation (Including Glycol Controls), Capping/ Chilling/ Dryhopping schedule and procedures, Yeast Disposal(Grains out), BBT Cleaning and Sanitizing, recording fermentations, Reading BBT levels and recording, Checking DO and Co2 in beer. Packaging operations: Carbonation of beer, Cleaning firkins and Casking beer into firkins, Checking CO2 in beer. Quality Assurance Operations: Cell Counts, Pitch Rates, Gravity Measurements, DO Measurements, Process Sampling, Yeast Viability Measurement, Taste Panel.

Requirements:

Brewer: 1-3 years of experience and/or training:  Competently operates brewhouse equipment or cellar equipment (including Centrifuge/filter) to process brews according to Stone SOPs.
